Vista Point along the Fundy Trail Parkway, notice the "chocolate" Fundy Bay
From St. Andrews we moved further up the coast to St. Martins. It is a town even smaller than St. Andrews as it only has a hardware store that sells gas and diesel fuel. There is no grocery store.
Our campsite wasn’t quite as close to the ocean as it was at St. Andrews.
Here at St. Martins along the Bay of Fundy the the difference between high and low tide is 38 vertical feet. When the tide goes out it goes out about a 1/4 of a mile.

Near St. Martins is the West Quaco Lighthouse. In the brochure pictures it is a beautiful day and the lighthouse looks great. When we were there it was foggy and lighthouse is in need of a paint.

We did have a few days of rain while at St. Martins but most days were very nice.

A big tourist draw in the St. Martins area is the Fundy Trail. It is a privately funded strip of parkland that currently runs 17 miles along the cliff of the Bay of Fundy. This is one of the nicest parks we have ever visited. Every scenic outlook has picnic tables and benches to just take in the view. They have hiking trails and they have a nice wide bike trail that parallels the road for the entire length of the park. As a side note: some of the hills on the are over 13 percent grades and at one hill the grade is 16 percent!

Melvin Beach, one of the very few sandy/gravel beaches (steep climb that is why it's empty!)

Currently the end of the Fundy Trail, New Brunswick. They are hoping to extend the trail another 40 miles to the Fundy National Park.
